It's nice to know that even in these difficult economic times, folks still turn out to support the mission of the Rehab Center. The 41st Rehab Auction series is in the books and to date, we've raised more than $260,000! The total amount was raised through the TV Auction on KFDX, the series of auctions at area sale barns, monetary donations, sponsorships and our silent and live auction dinner at MPEC.
The Live Auction recorded more than $56,000 thanks to some great items like a donated stay at a Santa Fe casita, a Colorado fishing trip and 4 pans of Barbara Mayo's famous fudge. The Rehab Saddle sold 9 times, matching last year's record. The Rehab Saddle has now sold 67 times, raising more than $670,000 since 1991.
Our thanks go out to all of the businesses who donated items, our sponsors including United Supermarkets-Market Street and Patterson Auto Center, the buyers, the area sale barns, the Friends of the Rehab Center, our wonderful volunteers, the Lone Star Auctioneers, KFDX, Joe Tom White and the MPEC.
All money raised from the Rehab Auction goes to provide services to clients who otherwise couldn't afford care.
